MySQL4 oder MySQL5?

Hi!

Momentan betreibe ich ein vb 3.7.1 mit MySQL 4.1.22 und PHP4. Nun wird mein Forum auf einen PHP5 Server gezügelt.

Nun wurde ich vom Provider gefragt welche Konfiguration ich den brauche. Und zwar:

1. PHP5.x / PHP4 als PHPCGI und MySQL4.1

oder

2. PHP5.x / PHP4 als PHPCGI und MySQL5

Was macht mehr Sinn? Ich bin da grad überfragt. :confused:

Für die beste Performance und Stabilität von vBulletin 3.7.1 empfehlen wir den Einsatz von PHP 5.2.5 mit APC oder einem ähnlichen Opcode-Cache und MySQL 5.0.51.

Sind irgendwelche Probleme zu erwarten, wenn man von MySQL4 zu MySQL5 wechselt?

Ich hab gelesen das es bei 3.6 Probleme mit den Sprachdateien gibt. Gibt es das bei 3.7 nicht mehr?

Ich habe vor kurzem selber gewechselt von PHP 4 und MySQL 4.X auf PHP 5 und MySQL 5.X ohne Probleme!
